Hello Paris has introduced the CDG Express trains, designed to provide a swift connection between Paris-Est station and Charles de Gaulle Airport in just 20 minutes. This service is set to enhance the travel experience for air passengers, with trains capable of operating at speeds up to 150 km/h.

The new rolling stock is based on the Coradia Polyvalent platform, originally developed by Alstom and now manufactured by CAF in Alsace. A dedicated fleet of 13 trains will operate the service, with ten units in daily service, two for maintenance, and one on standby at Paris-Est station.

Passenger comfort and accessibility are key features of the CDG Express trains. Each train includes over ten luggage storage areas, ensuring smooth passenger flow and minimizing congestion. The fully low-floor design allows for step-free movement, and gap-filling systems at the doors facilitate level boarding for travelers with luggage, wheelchairs, or pushchairs.

Inside, the trains are equipped with reclining seats, fold-out tables, power sockets, and USB charging ports. Onboard Wi-Fi will be available, along with LED lighting that adjusts to the time of day. Each train will also feature toilets and baby-changing facilities.

A premium “Express Lounge” area will provide 12 seats arranged in a 2+1 configuration, catering to passengers seeking a more comfortable travel experience. Accessibility features include dedicated spaces for passengers with reduced mobility, wheelchair-accessible toilets, and touch-free water dispensers.

Real-time travel information will be displayed on LCD screens, with audio announcements available in multiple languages. An onboard train manager will assist passengers throughout their journey.

The introduction of the CDG Express trains is expected to enhance the overall travel experience for air passengers, potentially increasing ridership and revenue for Hello Paris. Rail operators and air travelers will benefit from the improved service, which emphasizes speed, comfort, and accessibility.
