Serbia trains its personnel in China for the HSR line to Hungary

A Serbian delegation recently completed a training program in China aimed at equipping personnel with the necessary skills for the operation and maintenance of the Serbia–Hungary high-speed rail (HSR) line. This initiative is part of Serbia's broader strategy to enhance its rail infrastructure and improve connectivity with Hungary.

The training program, which took place in October 2023, involved hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge transfer from Chinese experts, who have extensive experience in high-speed rail technology. The Serbian team learned about various aspects of HSR operations, including safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and customer service standards.

This collaboration between Serbia and China reflects the growing partnership in the rail sector, particularly as Serbia seeks to modernize its railway network. The Serbia–Hungary HSR line is expected to significantly reduce travel time between the two countries, promoting economic ties and tourism.
