Deutsche Bahn Warns of Regional Service Disruptions Due to Italo Compe

Deutsche Bahn (DB) has raised alarms regarding the impact of new long-distance rail operators, particularly Italo, on its regional rail services. Harmen van Zijderveld, head of DB's regional division, articulated concerns that the entry of competitors like Italo could exacerbate existing issues in already congested rail hubs such as Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, and Frankfurt.
